Bush Hates America’s Children

by Pamela Leavey

Apparently, Bush pulled a fast one on Congress in attempt to go around their vote to expand SCHIP:

The Bush administration, continuing its fight to stop states from expanding the popular Children’s Health Insurance Program, has adopted new standards that would make it much more difficult for New York, California and others to extend coverage to children in middle-income families.

Administration officials outlined the new standards in a letter sent to state health officials on Friday evening, in the middle of a month-long Congressional recess. In interviews, they said the changes were aimed at returning the Children’s Health Insurance Program to its original focus on low-income children and to make sure the program did not become a substitute for private health coverage.

The “Decider” has stooped to an all level of LOW on this, indicating that although even “18 Republican Senators,” supported the new bill from Congress, he was not going to let that stop him from depriving needy children of healthcare. Why does Bush hate America’s children?

The N.Y. Times reports that “The Children’s Health Insurance Program has strong support from governors of both parties, including Republicans like Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Sonny Perdue of Georgia.”

Kudos to those politicians on the other side of the aisle who get that America’s children are America’s future. And for Bush, well, he’s just a washed up lame duck playing the “Decider” with the lives of our children. For that (and so much more) he’ll go down in history as one of America’s worst presidents.

  1. One of the worst? I think he has that position locked up tight!

  2. Oh, for Heaven’s sake! How many of ‘America’s children’ are illegal aliens? Just how tight is this bill? Are we talking only children, or is this another shamnesty bill that is being touted to gain politcal favor? I’m not impressed with any of the sparse legislation that has been put forth!

If this is the worst President (I guess you forgot about the peanut farmer), then how do you justify the worst congress?
Pamela needs to put down the kool-aid!

  3. FedUp: Your stupid comment about Pamela and kool-aid makes me want to write a counter, but I sincerely cannot tell what the hell you’re talking about.

I get the hate and anger, but the rest sort of leaked out of the container.

Near as I can figure Fed Up doesn’t like America’s children either.

  5. Bush and his supporters clearly hate the United States and are doing their damndest to destroy us. But they accuse us of hating the country on that basis that we want jobs, education, healthcare, security, and our rights protected, which the Bush people are against. They claim that we are cowards, not wanting to fight for freedom just because we want to go after and destroy those who attacked us. They accuse us of being communists, when THEY are the ones who support communism by outsourcing our jobs to COMMUNIST China. And since anything made in China is all crap, we won’t buy it which somehow makes us anti-business. But profits are more important to those people than product safety, safe working conditions, and a decent living wage. I am tired of being told that I do not have the right to work, or to get an education, or to have healthcare while those who say that claim those rights for themselves.
