Oh, That Sinking Feeling
by Pamela LeaveyOh, that sinking feeling… Bush may still exude “confidence, but his ship of state is taking on water-fast.” It seems that some folks believe that everything Bush touches “turns to dust.” Sounds about right to me.
Somewhere on the right, however, hope still floats for the floundering Bush– or maybe it’s just Bush*t.
Maha has the Blub … Blub … Blub … on the U.S. News piece on the Sinking Presidency.
In a nutshell the Bush presidency is all washed up. Even Trent Lott said on Monday that “Bush’s new strategy in Iraq has until about fall before GOP members will need to see results.”
Anyone still wearing the rose colored glasses on the right should toss them into the brink and start to swim, fast — before they sink with BushCo. Time is running out.

Shhhh…let ‘em drown. I can’t wait to see how they spin it when their hope is shattered and they see the political slaughter that comes with the elections!
“Try Me”, these two words define American’s legacy and capability in the face of terrorism. After all, it is the insecure not stubbornness that the Iraqis politicians come to know so well. They can see right through it. And terrorists are counting on it. Understandably, moral obligations and national interests are to rebuild Iraq and secure peace in the region. Iraqis can train Iraqis whom they know, can they not? Iraqis can put together an Iraqis army whom they recognize, can they not? Conventional wars are war maps, strategies, bombs and bullets. Wars on terror are intimidation, manipulation, use and be used. It is your choice, your call to stay or to leave the core. Inside the core is dangerously cozy, deadly but cozy. Outside the core is sophisticated wild chase. Only American superior military can stay this long inside enemy core on enemy turf. Hey, ‘…we may win and we may lose…’ makes it all even more challenging and determined. “Try Me” are 2 gutsy words.
