    1. Who are those dopes at ‘Power Line’ anyway?

As I recall, wasn’t JK quoting from interviews he had at the Winter Soldiers meeting?
And, at one point JK was recalling his own experiences in combat. Anybody who has been in combat has the right to express their own views.

    2. Funny story. A web site just told me that the Navy is putting the reactor vessels from decommissioned ships in a hole in the dirt at Hanford, WA. The radioactivity from inside the chamber hasn’t made its way through the metal wall, so these things are called “low level” waste. If you’re dealing with the interior, where the nuclear fuel was, it’s a different matter.

So now we’re going to have a dialogue about building more reactors to create electricity without CO2 emissions. This so called “clean” electricity would be less expensive if the nation was not saddled with costs like those for Yucca Mountain (which is already beyond capacity before even opening). And we haven’t even begun to discuss how to keep the worn out reactors safe for the thousands of years that they’ll be lethal.

Maybe we’ll just mount the new units on Navy ships anchored where they can be close to demand centers. And we can just throw these things out in the desert when we’re through with them.

With military involvement, I bet we can get plenty of clean energy that is too cheap to meter.
