“OOPS!” More on the End of a Bush Crony Nomination
by Pamela LeaveyPriceless humor on a fitting end to a Bush crony nomination…

When the Bush administration pulled Sam Fox’s nomination two days ago, Fox got what he deserved! As John Kerry said in his statement about the withdrawal, “Sam Fox had every opportunity to disavow the politics of personal destruction and to embrace the truth. He chose not to.”
Eleven Swift Boat veterans who actually served with Kerry in Vietnam “sent a letter to the committee on Tuesday urging senators to oppose Fox’s nomination. Wade Sanders, one of the signee’s of the letter shared this comment on Fox’s withdrawal with Dem Daily readers yesterday:
As one of those who served with Kerry who signed the letter calling for the rejection of Sam Fox to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I was delighted by the recent news. The significance of Fox’s downfall is huge because it represents another watershed in reigning in of George Bush and it sends a strong message that lying, and supporting liars, has consequences. Fox’s support of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth was another insult to the thousands of us who served with honor in those plucky little boats and to all veterans and active duty military.
Hopefully, this is only the beginning of reversing the policies and action of the worst president in this and perhaps any century.
