George W. can’t handle the truth, and when the truth is exposed, time and time again Bush goes on a rampage, like a spoiled child, stomping his feet and insisting that he’s right. Well, he’s not right — it’s his policies that have failed — miserably. No sooner did his ‘torture bill’ pass yesterday, and Bush was on the campaign trail, proving yet again that all he has to work with is lies.
At an Alabama campaign event for Alabama Gov. Bob Riley and the state GOP yesterday, Bush cherrypicked quotes from House and Senate Democrats for partisan political gain in attempt to portray the Democrats as not having the “the stomach to fight the war on terror.”
Bush has continually misled the American people in attempts to justify his policy of ‘stay the course’ on Iraq.
DNC spokeswoman Karen Finney, responded to Bush’s swaggering fear mongering speech in Alabama saying, “On his watch, five years after 9/11, he not only has failed to capture Osama bin Laden, but as the (National Intelligence Estimate) indicates, his failed policies have made America less safe and spawned terrorism, not decreased it. Democrats will be tough and smart, and will actually fight the terrorists, not leave them to plan future attacks.”
Bush ‘cut and run’ when he failed to get Osama at Tora Bora. The recently released portions of the NIE report prove that Bush’s policies have “embolden the terrorists.”
Bush and the Rubber Stamping GOP have nothing left but lies to bully voters in submission in the upcoming mid-term elections. It’s time to stand strong and reject the lies at the polls in November — “Let America Be America Again.”
