John Kerry Co-Sponsors Feingold’s Censure Measure

by Pamela Leavey

Last month in an interview on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, John Kerry stated that he would support Russ Feingold’s censure proposal. Kerry has officially signed on to the bill as a co-sponsor.

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry has officially signed on to the bill. He joins fellow Democrats Tom Harkin from Iowa and Barbara Boxer from California as co-sponsors.

It’s unclear whether the Judiciary Committee will ever bring up the censure proposal for a vote.

Kerry initially held off on supporting the measure. He said the president should be held accountable but Kerry wanted to make sure a censure was the best way to do it.

Feingold introduced the resolution in March to censure Bush for authorizing domestic eavesdropping and misleading Americans about its legality.

  1. Six months from now the lefty drooler types at dailykos will still be whining, “Why won’t JK support Feingold’s censor measure!”

I hate those creatures even more than their mirror image right-wing Bush loving drooler brethren. At least the righty droolers support and try to help their side, in their own mind numbingly clueless way. All the lefy ones seem to do is spend all their time attacking all Dems except their latest puppy love of the moment.

  2. Bingo!

  5. Pamela,

You should have seen the rest of the rant that I’d typed but decided to cut out just before I posted it 😉

Though I may still end up posting that part later if I get irritated about something(doesn’t take much, obviously). If one of them shows up to whine, “Too little too late!” or some such other lefty drooler drivel parroting, I’d say it will be a given though.

  6. It was funny some DUer saying Kerry “scares her” cause he sponsored centure. Interesting how it’s no longer a big deal to some.

  7. Scared how? That she’d have to like him, or that cesnure isn’t preferred? Seems a modest attempt after so little accountability from the other side.

Fickle folks over there and elsewhere. Can’t make up their minds. Probably a flip flopper who complained first.

  9. Marjorie

Heaven forbid any should have to like him.

I think he is a threat to Feingold. I just had to laugh. The rebuttals were great.

    Probably. 🙂

  12. Well, I’m sure DU and Kos will have something else to complain on JK by the end of the week.

Well, Feingold didn’t help his cause any by jabbing and backbiting his own teammembers.

Of course the other in contention: Hil, biden, richardson, they won’t be heard of on this subject and the lefties will still hound Kerry for whatever.

Well, I don’t blame JK for checking this out before he signed on.

Specter won’t let it out of Judiciary but what else is knew
