Murtha Defended From Conservative Claims on Iraq

Refuting all the claims from conservative sites about Iraq is far too consuming for most of us (although I did touch on this for New Year’s). Think Progress responds to John Hinderaker today. Hinderaker claimed that John Murtha was nuts for his statements about Iraq on Face the Nation, claiming that “pretty much every ‘fact’ that Murtha hysterically tossed out is wrong.”
Think Progress looks at these claims, which wind up being a fairly comprehensive look at the typical conservative falsehoods about Iraq. They show that the facts all back Murtha.
As usual, conservatives have little regard for the facts.

Mr. Murtha is correct to the hilt. I just got back from Iraq and he hit the nail on the head. While in Iraq, I did not just stay behind the wire but had to go out almost every day and face these people who have turned against us. Right on Mr. Murtha ! If you run for president you have my vote !
