The crux of this entire mess is the willingness of the prominent media figures to go after opponents of the war and stifle the message of the Democrats. We’ve seen this over and over again. I wrote a piece in early November that comes to mind today — How the Mainstream Media Got Bush Re-elected – And Screwed America.
Take a stand people, fight back…

Did I miss it here, but heads up to the John Kerry thread at Daily Kos. Maybe our goddess had some divining in that regard.
But kudos to our guy for going to meet that community, and they showed respect. Asked the usual about concession and IWR, but on general good blogging behavior.

Didn’t miss anything here… someone else had a hand in it, from what I understand. Nice to see him reaching out there and yes, everyone appears to be on good behavior.
Kudos to Kerry for going to hostile territory and blogging over there.

His personal comment at the end was kick ass unbelievable. O how I like this man.
I read through some of the first Kerry thread at Kos. They had better shown him some respect. Glad he engaged them. I think all some of them needed was a little attention. What a group of drama queens.

I saw that comment on Hardball and Biden should have said something on the line Kerry said. Michael Moore hasn’t always been decent to Kerry but who came to his defense Kerry did.
Did anyone see tonight’s hardball with rita cosby, scarborough and tucker. They were saying how osama was using Demorcats talking points. They mentioned his comments were similar to Michael Moores and John Kerry when Kerry made the comments about iraqi’s seeing our troops as terriorist.
That was totally wrong and off based. Kerry’s comment came as he talking about Iraqi’s soilders should go into the houses at night instead of our troops and he’s right.
Then I realized this is part of the GOP’s strategy along with the media’s strategy to use against the dems in 06. They will say Osama’s using the dems talking points to hurt america. It’s disgusting but if the dems don’t whack back it might stick.
Needless to say bush is working the fear angle. They should have stopped at nothing to kill bin laden instead of going into iraq.

Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, the crew are working it for Rove’s return in the fray to fire up the GOP bases.
I think the point people need to get is that we need to STOP talking about what they are saying about us and start talking about US ourselves.
We’re so damn busy bitching about them – who’s letting Dems know what Dems are doing?
Right on Pamela. The dems have got to get their message out there of what they are doing or trying to do in Washington.
Town-halls, tv ads, internet, they have to reach the masses through other means instead of going through corporate run media.
Matthews and his ilk are going to spin those rove talking points right into election day.
The dems got to think outside the box then leave the box (DC) and take their case to the people.
Chris Matthews is a bully. I don’t give a damn that he once served in the Peace Corps and served on the staffs of President Carter and Speaker O’Neill. This version of Chris Matthews isn’t liberal, or even moderate, he’s a stuck up bully doing the dirty work of ultra-right wing governments. Matthews even bought the right-wing talking point that Kerry “looks French”. The only Frenchmen here Chris is you, in a Vichy sort of way that is!

I never understood how anyone thought Kerry looked french? He doesn’t to me and if he did so what its better than smirking like a chimp any day.
The thing that pissed me off about the french thing is that Kerry’s mom was born in France and some of his family still live there but it was like they wanted to punish Kerry for having french families members. What is the man suppose to do deny his own mother’s orgins? Pluzzee.
Somebody needs to take matthews, cosby, scaraborough and tucker down a few notches.
I say we don’t let up on MSNBC and if necessary the advertisers during these shows need to be targeted. Hey, it got some action out of the sinclair biased program when they played politics with the 04 election.
