Iran says it will hold a conference to assess the scale and consequences of the Holocaust, which its president recently described as a “myth”.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has also sparked international condemnation by calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map”, or moved to Europe or the US.
A spokesman for the Iranian foreign minister states that discussion of the Holocaust should not be off limits. “It is a strange world. It is possible to discuss everything except the Holocaust,” he said.
Ok, let’s discuss the Holocaust. Six million Jews were killed. The existence of the Holocaust is accepted by everybody except for Nazi sympathizers who want to cover up their crimes. I guess this shows where the current Iranian government lies. It also shows why the western world should make sure that their nuclear program cannot be used to produce weapons. Countries which strive to cover up the murder of millions cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons.
